RISE OF INDIAN CSGO! IS THIS A NEW ERA OF INDIAN ESPORTS?

INDIAN  CSGO HISTORY : FORSAKEN AND HIS TRAGEDY :-
We all are aware about how India and CSGO has a bad relationship when it comes to competitive esports. In fact, "bad" is not just the right word suitable for such a case. Many of you are acquainted with the word "Forsaken", and most of you are even aware of what actually happened in Indian CSGO related to that name. But still for those who don't know what happened, well, here's a brief note on the event :-
During the eXTREMESLAND 2018 FINALS, Nikhil " Forsaken " Kumawait, from Optic's All India roster ,  was blatantly caught hacking.
As a result, the entire roster was immediately disbanded, paving way towards the downfall of Indian CSGO. Moreover, the tournament was held in a LAN setup, which made this event an internationally recognized tragedy.

INDIAN CSGO REDEMPTION ARC?
As per the aforementioned event, Indian CSGO has experienced a major setback. Most of the pros moved on to CSGO and did not return to the game, while some players still kept grinding the game hoping there would be some signs of positivity in the near future. Fortunately, a ray of hope has started falling upon the Indian CSGO community. Recently, TOs like Skyesports and TEC, have started hosting tournaments in the game, leading to the rise of a new era of Indian CS.
Skyesports, introduced their Skyesports Championship 4.0 , in December 2022, featuring titles - Dota 2 and CSGO. Since then, it has re - ignited the hopes of many as other TOs started hosting tournaments in these games too. Through one of their recent tweets, Skyesports have stated that they are set to host a 50 Day LAN mega event, at Mumbai, in CSGO aka Skyesports CSGO League.

With that being said, they have also hinted on many professional orgs interested in signing CSGO rosters in the country. Although we don't know which orgs are signing what rosters, but from the looks of it, all these rostermania sessions will begin once CSGO League comes to an end. Also, you do want to keep an eye out on our socials, if you wanna get some spicy leaks related to this game.

The Esports Club , one of the leading TOs in the country, are hosting TEC Community Cup featuring Indian CSGO teams. Throughout the tournament, we have seen some extremely uphill battles, interesting duels, and some crazy skirmishes. After all these thrifty matches, the Grand Finals took place between Orgless 5 and Wicked Gaming, where Wicked Gaming emerged out as the winners and hence, Champions of the tournament. The Grand Finals took place in a Best of 5 format , and the resultant scoreline was 3-2 in favor of Wicked Gaming

Wicked Gaming has represented India on a LAN stage internationally whereas Kingpins played against international teams like NKT, via online phase.

Note :- The highlighted and underlined players are the ones whom you should look out for, when going up against these teams.
