Both the Alpha and Omega brackets come to an end, EMEA emerge supreme!

Greetings, readers, and welcome back to another article by OwlDroneMedia. In this article, we are going to be talking about the final results of the Alpha and the Omega bracket of the VCT : LOCK//IN Sao Paulo tournament, both of which, finally came to an end today.

The Alpha bracket, ended way back, on 20th of February, and LOUD with there 2022 Championship winning core, along with DRX with there Top 3 2022 Champions team managed to qualify for the finale weekend.

The Omega bracket although, ended only today, from which, NAVI, with there 2022 Champions Top 4 core from FPX, managed to qualify along with FNATIC, whose core also attended 2022 Champions, and managed to secure the Top 6 position.

Something common among all 4 of these teams is that, at least 3 of the players from each team attended Champions 2022, and placed Top 6 or above.

LOUD, not only did they attend the Champions 2022 event, but they also won it, and after transferring two of there players to Sentinels, they still have there Championship winning core, along with 2 more young passionate individuals, making them look as strong as ever. LOUD, will be representing Americas in this tournament, because they are the only team from Americas to come this far in the tournament. LOUD will lead this tournament to its first match of the finale weekend, going against DRX, on 2nd March 2023, for a shot at the first spot of the Grand Finals.

who were finally able to break there 5th-6th place curse, after beating FNATIC in the lower bracket of the Champions 2022, and beating FPX in the next round as well, after which they lost to Optic, placing 3rd in the tournament overall. Now, although there have not been much any changes in the DRX team since Champions 2022 ended, foxy9, who is currently there 6th man or substitute player, is an outstanding duelist, and he was seen playing with the team in few off season events. DRX, are also the only Pacific team to come so far in the tournament, while the other pacific favorites, all went back home. Pacific is counting on DRX to bring the first VCT Tournament home! As mentioned above, DRX will be facing off against LOUD, on 2nd March 2023, for a slot at the Grand Finals of VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo.

NAVI, as of now, are looking like the most complete team to ever form in Valorant esports history. This team, has it all. The experienced big brain mind of Ange1, who is also the oldest player in this tournament, mashed with the young talent of cNed, along with the support from all other young bloods, suygetsu, Shao and Zyppan, makes this team a feared opponent. All the players in this team know when to step up, and when the time arises, they do it damn right! Common perception for IGL's is that they do not take duels as such, and prefer to play back, and mostly have there focus towards calling, which hence decreases there firepower. This, also used to be the case for Ange1, when he was in FPX alongside Shao Zyppan and Suygetsu. But, now, all of that has changed, Ange1 is not only fragging when his team needs him to, but he is taking all the opening duels, and creating meaningful engagements winning his team rounds, breaking the common IGL stereotype. This team, is the most favorite out of all, to win this tournament, bringing EMEA, another win in the bag, and making cNed, the first player to win 2 official VCT tournaments across different teams! They will be facing off FNATIC, in the Semi Finals of VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo, on 3rd March, 2023.

Finally, we come to FNATIC, the EMEA Super Team of 2023. FNATIC, have been one of the early comers, to Valorant, as they were the grand finalists of the first ever international VCT tournament in 2021, but since then, there highest placement was only 5th-6th position at the VCT Champions 2022. They were never able to perform at any official VCT events, even after quite a lot of roster changes. This, caused questions arriving on Boaster, who has been the IGL of FNATIC since its inception, doubting his leadership skills, because since 2021, he has not able to secure the top 3 spot at any international VCT event. Now, Boaster, with his new EMEA Super Team, is looking to change that. After dropping two of there players from there Champions 2022 squad, they decided to add Leo and Chronicle, from Gambit or M3C. Both of these players, are considered to be the top support players in the entire world, and have proven to be worthy additions to the FNATIC Squad, carrying them to victory, and helping them qualify for the Finale Weekend. Now, Boaster and co, FNATIC, will be going against NAVI, where they will look to finally break there curse, and maybe finally win a tournament!? As mentioned above, this match will take place on 3rd March 2023.
