Brawl Stars Manager of Revenant India, Lukas, in an interview with OwlDrone!

Recently, OwlDroneMedia had an interview with Lukas, Brawl Stars Manager for Revenant Esports, and here's what he had to say :

**Do you think India has what it takes?**

It is clear that India, as a new sub-region, is not as advanced as other regions. Nevertheless, I see improvements and developments in the region and the separation of other Asian regions in BSC and ESL Snapdragon is certainly a catalyst for this. There are potentially a lot of fans here who are also passionate. I am referring in particular to the fist Monthly Finals win by an Indian team in 2021. Even though the teams are getting stronger, I think there is still a long way to go for the Indian region, in general, to be competitive on a global level. Moreover, the structures here need to be professionalized even more. We have good teams at the very top, but the substructure is completely missing. Apart from the top 7-8 teams, there is a lack of competitiveness.

**What are the goals for this year?**

The big goals are of course to win all kinds of titles, of course first at the national level. We definitely want to be at the ESL Snapdragon Masters and will do everything we can to compete at LCQ in the second half of the year. For me, it is still too early for goals on an international level or at major tournaments, and for that we must first reach our stage objectives. These are that everyone finds themselves in their position and role and together as a team we create the framework to be able to win with power every week. We have really incredible players on our team. Everyone has their own qualities and their own role, and in this one you can still be flexible and try something out. I would like to highlight once again our captain, Sergeant Clash. The guy is a very good leader not only because of his playful qualities. He is a very precise worker, but still very young.

**Why did you decide for Revenant Esports?**

The fit is perfect, so Revenant was our top priority. We really wanted to sign with an organization from India to be supported much more directly and authentically. Revenant's philosophy is in line with ours. The values that Revenant Esports conveys are embodied by us. I am convinced that with our young, energetic style together with Revenant, we can achieve a lot this year.

**Do you think the team needs a coach?**

Right now? No! A good coach can make a team better. When we bring in a coach, you can be sure that we have checked 100% carefully whether the coach can help us. There's no point in hiring a coach who doesn't fit in with the team or who lacks the necessary qualifications. Our quality criteria are set very high, also because we are very convinced of the team's hierarchy and playing intelligence. In addition, a coach who works in Europe does not automatically work in Asia. The culture is different, the conditions are different and the style of play is different. Nevertheless, I scan the market every day and analyze which people or tools can improve our team.

**Can Revenant make a mark in international tournaments?**

Of course, our ambition is to be successful internationally. Ultimately, it is the dream of every Brawl Stars player to take part in a global tournament like the World Finals at some point. To get there, we first have to do our "homework" at the national level. Global tournaments are still far away in the calendar. Even if, as a team from India, we are not likely to be among the top favourites, we are confident that with hard work and good preparation, we can always be in top form at any event. More important than thinking about any global tournaments now is to keep improving, build confidence and the flow.

**Where do you see BS Esports in two more years?**

I would like to see Brawl Stars Esports stay faithful to its path. The open ecosystem is expanded and improved year after year. The teams around Brawl Stars and Brawl Stars Esports have an open ear for the community and pro players. And what we have already seen over the last few years: Brawl Stars Esports is becoming more and more professional. In the meantime there are in-game items from some teams, last year wan had an MSI for the first time, for this year the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier) was introduced. I just hope that this will continue to develop and grow over the next few years. I believe that in two years we will see even more LAN events and we will be able to fill bigger venues. I also believe that the competitions outside the official Brawl Stars Championship will become more and more global and relevant. I also hope that more good esports brands will invest in the game and that more storytelling will happen from the team side.

**Did you scout these players before getting them into the roster?**

The scouting process didn't take very long for me. When a player as gifted as Sergeant Clash is 100% convinced of his team, that is always meaning something. I looked at the team and was excited about the identity and potential. We have a good mix in the team and were able to ac success early on, which is why I think it was also clear to Revenant Esports very early on that there was no way to avoid this team if they wanted to join Brawl Stars.
