R6 SOUTH ASIA LEAGUE GOING BIG? INDIAN TEAMS TO FACE INTERNATIONAL TEAMS!?


RAINBOW SIX SOUTH ASIA LEAGUE :- 

Rainbow Six South Asia league , which is the qualifier event for South Asian teams to international events, took place from 11th March, 2023 to 1st April, 2023. The tournament consisted of all top teams from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It started off with a Round Robin format. All the matches, took place in Best of 1 format from which the winner of the tournament, would have booked a slot into the Last Chance Qualifiers of Asia League Stage 1. The event concluded with Pakistan's Shaheens, leading the charge, in a dominant fashion, being up 7-0, dropping NO maps across the tournament. Following Shaheens, our Indian rep, HuntersLFO were a close second, having won 6 matches and lost 1 to Shaheens. So, Shaheens will be going up against other international teams from Asia Pacific, while HuntersLFO will have a second chance to qualify for Asia League Stage 1 LCQ, via South Asia Open Qualifiers Playoffs

It is also worthy to note that, Jittery from HuntersLFO bagged the most number of individual MVPs. 

SOUTH ASIA OPEN QUALIFIERS PLAYOFFS:-

As mentioned above, HuntersLFO along with eleven other teams from SA, competed for a shot at Asia Stage 1 LCQ. All the matches took place in a Best of 3 format, single elimination bracket. Top two teams would qualify to Asia League Stage 1 LCQ. In fact, it is a matter of great pride for Indian R6 community that both the Indian teams, HuntersLFO and Won't Stop Peeking made it to Grand Finals of the tournament, thus booking a slot for Asia LCQ. HuntersLFO defeated WSP, emerging as the winners of the tournament. 

ASIA LEAGUE STAGE LAST CHANCE QUALIFIERS :- 


The tournament is scheduled to take place between 14th April, 2023 and 16th April, 2023. Eight teams will fight it out for a prize pool of $145000. It will take place in a single elimination format. Top two teams from the tournament will qualify for the upcoming R6 Copenhagen Major 2023.

Three teams from SEA League :-
Bleed Esports,  Elevate and Dire Wolves. 

One team from SA League:-
Shaheens. 

Two teams from SEA Qualifier playoffs :-
DevilDog and Fury. 

Two teams from SA Qualifier playoffs :-
HuntersLFO and Won't Stop Peeking.
